Comment by Furydeath Least it does something unlike the spider mount. Comment by Nidru Is the model unique like the spider mount? Or will it be other "Brutosaurs" from other sources, just without the vendors, like with the Yak and Mammoth? Comment by Artio "It also appears faction discounts apply to these prices. Comment by sadistic lol what 5mil but thats all my wealth. Comment by Kurosaki Up to build , this mount is the only way to access the vendor for Distilled Water and Acacia Powder, which is required in Kul'Tiran Inscription to craft inks.
Comment by Rorcanna30 Can't wait! Not only is it unique, like the Spider, but it's also got a practical use beyond movement speed! From what I've seen on Beta, it's not ridiculously huge though which is a big no pun intended plus, considering the size of other Brutosaurs! Comment by Xanaduzu As of beta build build June 12th, , this item is no longer affected by rep discounts or by being a goblin.
Comment by desius Currently, this mount costs about two years worth of game time. Update Sept : Now approaching four years of game time. Why would you want to get this mount? Well, it comes with it's very own auctionner! Making your auction house trips less of a bother. No more will Warlocks be burdened with the same old, "Set a portal up, I need to buy flasks". Now you have to luxury to bring the market to your feet!
You'll surely be the main attraction of your raid group! Plus it's a Dinosaur! You can show off your once had wealth, with your brand new new modeled mount.
It's still a Dinosaur! The size of it is quite oustanding alongside with Gamon's Braid and Vrykul Drinking Horn , you'll be towering over buildings, looking into windows, and glitching Azeroth out!
The video below can show you the vendor's locations, Alliance's is ever so slightly hidden. Where as Horde's is standing right next to a big Dino! Also how the mount moves and looks. Comment by Prunes There's a decent percentage of players who enjoy the AH as an economics challenge and put a lot of energy into it. In such cases, we are talking millions of gold bought and sold in a month, not the usual peanuts that the rest of us call 'a lot'.
For people using this aspect of the game, buying this is a smart asset purchase as they can move around a lot more easily etc. For me? For the others.. So, while I do have a massive case of sticker shock at the price, yup, I get it. No, not buy it Comment by insaniac17 I am pretty disappointed in this one.
It is neat that this will save about 3 seconds of walking between the AH and the mailbox a few times a day, but I'd much rather have something cool like a flying spider. This is utterly useless to the people who can afford it.
I guess it will be nothing more than an expensive status symbol. Comment by grafspe Can this mount be rep grinded down in price? On the map this is the T of Tradewinds market, there's a sewer grate there which is the perfect place to stand. Comment by starfire The reputation discount did not go live, it still costs the full amount.
Comment by Darrenic While I do agree that an AH mount will be awesome, I personally think the mount could've been better if it had a banker instead of a vendor on it to go with the auctioneer.
The longest lasting thing that isn't a banker is Jeeves Jeeves but that's an Engineer exclusive and requires 75 points in Northrend Engineering in order to use it. A bank mount would be a lot more loved than a 10 minute use profession exclusive skill requirement toy. Comment by Aiyun Mount of the mounts. Mostly taking him out on a walk or parking close to mailboxes.
Comment by Lukthak what a great mount and mountmodel. Absolutely helpful if you enjoy your time as an ah vendor. But it can slow you down, if you are a nice guy and don't want to interrupt all the guys using your auction house, while you are afk for a minute Comment by insaniac17 Goblin idea here: Please give us some of the fees our mount vendors get when people repair or transmog using our mounts and commissions on auction activities.
It's not known exactly when this was done. Comment by Clemien Cant believe no one called this mount a daddy-longneck. Comment by coolderka Just wondering Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth is from Wrath of the Lich King expansion 3 , costs , have vendors, one with repair.
Reins of the Grand Expedition Yak is from Mists of Pandaria expansion 5 , costs , have vendors, one with transmog. I have no idea, whole Stormwind or Orgrimmar?
Well, it's time to start saving my money. Comment by UncleJulio Every auction house goblin worth his or her salt is gonna be a proud owner of one of these Long Bois. Comment by brudarek Got your fancy expensive AH mount and being driven insane by the stupid turtle greeting every time you open the AH? Comment by Jrshane3 How does one earn enough gold to afford this? Comment by thadjosh76 Will no longer be purchasable when Shadowlands comes out.
Comment by SargonStarblade Well hell. I've been saving to buy this thing, but I am not even half way there. I do not play enough to make a lot of gold fast, so how do I pay for it? I know how Activision wants me to afford it EDIT: I just calculated in case anyone wants to buy the gold using tokens. I can confirm that when Shadowlands goes live, the shady vendors Talutu and Tricky Nick will cease selling it.
Their other offerings — the Lost Platysaur pet and the Palehide Direhorn mount, will remain available for purchase. We will make sure that the unforgettable Brutosaur mount is added to the lists of possible items that are sold in the Black Market Auction Houses.
Comment by Fokaszar Give me a single reason why this mount needs to be removed from the vendors in SL. Comment by tooltip As this is too long to post as a reply to Fokaszar's comment , I making this a separate comment. Posted by Kaivax , source We want to be perfectly clear on this — we do not intend to remove the AH vendor from this mount, especially when some players put in a great deal of effort to acquire this mount specifically for that functionality.
They were originally ultra-exclusive and mostly purchased by guild banks for convenient raid use, but then became increasingly commonplace due to gold inflation over time. We think that a moderate amount of gold inflation is healthy. It ensures that new or returning players can catch up and participate in server economies without having to put in a herculean effort to avoid being priced out of essential goods.
The general situation, the fact that they are going to remove this mount and leave it for BMAH is hilarious, why the hell would they do that - it's already barely obtainable for the richest, now they are going to make this mount a random chance on BMAH and it can be even more expensive? If you have the gold buy the spider instead. Comment by Wesker1 I had hope of getting this mount at some point.
It is sad to see it go. It was gonna be a novelty item regardless because IMO a large percentage of the playerbase does have the gold for it, or the time to invest in such a huge undertaking.
Way more than most are willing to spend if I had to take a guess. I'll just stick to finishing subequently using the Garrison AH, or going to Exodar fewer people. Comment by biggaz69 Blizz if you read these comments. Don't remove this mount, I and many others would love to save up the gold to buy it without making ourselves ill, losing our sanity.
Comment by Tandry Nothing like introducing a fancy mount, making people ramp up their AH efforts to buy it, then nerfing it. If you've been saving for it, you may want to save your money to spend on other things. Like enough tokens to play for free through the next expansion. This article is unclear or poorly written. I have tried the suggested steps but they didn't work. I'm frustrated by Blizzard's process or policy.
